Becoming a foster family in India means caring for a child in need of care and protection within your own home under the Juvenile Justice framework. Foster parents are assessed by the Child Welfare Committee and District Child Protection Unit, and being able to respond to a child's health and safety needs — including basic first aid — is part of providing suitable care.

De eis inzake eerste hulp

Foster care in India is governed by the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and the Ministry of Women and Child Development's Model Guidelines for Foster Care. To be approved, foster parents must be medically fit, have adequate space and income, and be able to meet the child's physical and emotional needs. The guidelines do not set out a single national first-aid statute, but the capacity to handle everyday medical situations and emergencies is expected of carers.

Approval rests with the Child Welfare Committee on the recommendation of the District Child Protection Unit after a home study. A current first-aid and CPR certificate from a recognised provider is commonly encouraged as good practice, in addition to the suitability assessment, rather than being a stand-alone qualification to foster.

Onze opleidingen in reanimatie (CPR), gebruik van de AED en eerste hulp worden ontwikkeld conform de meest recente internationale richtlijnen voor cardiovasculaire spoedzorg en eerste hulp.

Wij volgen nauwgezet de aanbevelingen van ILCOR (International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation), het internationale orgaan dat verantwoordelijk is voor de wetenschappelijke evaluatie en de ontwikkeling van wereldwijde reanimatienormen. Deze aanbevelingen dienen als referentie voor gezondheidsorganisaties, instellingen en beroepsorden over de hele wereld – en worden bijgewerkt naarmate het wetenschappelijke en klinische bewijs evolueert.

Elke interventie kan een verschil maken. Uw vaardigheden in reanimatie en spoedzorg actueel houden is zowel een beroepseis als een verantwoordelijkheid tegenover patiënten, collega’s en het publiek.
